Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is often credited for initiating the contemporary research into the study of eyewitness memory and child victim witnesses within lawful contexts. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of papers and awards to her credit she is also the winner of numerous national and global distinctions. She has worked with a variety of organisations and governments all over the world to conduct research and policies relating to children who have been victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
